How to use cleansing milk: application and rinsing

Cleansing milk is used at the start of your routine, before serum and moisturiser. If you are wondering whether to remove it with cotton pads or rinse it off, the answer depends on the product: EVRAYNE cleansing milk is massaged onto the face and rinsed off with water.

How to apply it, step by step

  1. Check the instructions on the bottle. Not all cleansing milks are used in the same way. For EVRAYNE, the instructions are to apply to the face, massage gently and rinse off.
  2. Apply with your fingertips. Use gentle movements, without scrubbing or abrasive tools.
  3. Rinse with lukewarm water. Remove the product and pat your face dry with a soft towel.
  4. Continue with your usual skincare. Cleansing comes before serum and moisturiser. This milk is a rinse-off product, not a moisturiser to leave on your skin.

Gentle application, lukewarm water and patting dry follow the American Academy of Dermatology’s general face-washing advice.

Water or cotton pads?

Rinse this formula off with water. There is no need to add a cotton pad to the steps above. If you use a different cleansing milk, check its label before following the same method.

What to know before choosing it

EVRAYNE Gentle Cleansing Milk has a silky texture and comes in a 190 ml pump bottle. The formula includes shea butter and argan, avocado and jojoba oils.

It contains fragrance. You can check the full INCI ingredient list on the product page before buying, especially if you avoid fragrances or specific ingredients. The word “gentle” does not guarantee that a product will suit every skin.

Two common questions

Does it remove waterproof makeup?

The formula is designed to remove makeup and impurities, but we do not have evidence to claim that it removes every type of waterproof makeup. Check the instructions for your makeup too.

How much should I use?

The instructions we consulted do not specify a number of pumps. Follow the directions on your bottle; we do not set a dose or promise how long a bottle will last without supporting evidence.
